Reasons for Issuing a Red Card

Players are disqualified with a yellow and red card for:
1. excessive or prolonged acts by which a player attempts to focus attention on him/herself and/or prohibits a timely restart
2. subsequent caution

 

 

 



A player shall be disqualified with a red card for:
1. exhibiting violent conduct
2. taunting
3. subsequent caution by coach or bench personnel
4. committing serious foul play that includes those two items listed on pages 56 & 57
5. spitting at an opponent
6. spitting at a teammate or game official
7. using insulting or abusive language or gesture
8. leaving the team area to enter the field when a fight is taking place
