Reasons for Issuing a Red Card

| Players are disqualified with a yellow and red card for: |
|---|
| 1. excessive or prolonged acts by which a player attempts to focus attention on him/herself and/or prohibits a timely restart |
| 2. subsequent caution |
| A player shall be disqualified with a red card for: |
|---|
| 1. exhibiting violent conduct |
| 2. taunting |
| 3. subsequent caution by coach or bench personnel |
| 4. committing serious foul play that includes those two items listed on pages 56 & 57 |
| 5. spitting at an opponent |
| 6. spitting at a teammate or game official |
| 7. using insulting or abusive language or gesture |
| 8. leaving the team area to enter the field when a fight is taking place |
